May 14, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Study Committee (RSC) welcomed U.S. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to Capitol Hill for a members-only meeting as the Trump administration works to restore law and order across the country.

Acting Attorney General Blanche briefed members on the Department of Justice's newly formed Fraud Division, a vital tool for safeguarding taxpayer funds and recovering dollars that have been improperly distributed. The Fraud Division represents a major step forward in holding bad actors accountable and ensuring government programs operate with integrity. Blanche also detailed the DOJ's broader enforcement efforts on immigration and narcotics trafficking to protect American communities.

The RSC remains committed to working alongside the Trump administration to root out fraud, protect taxpayer dollars, and restore accountability across the federal government.

“The RSC strongly advocates for enhanced oversight of America's federal benefits programs,” said Acting Attorney General Blanche. “The Department of Justice thanks RSC members for their unwavering leadership in the fight against fraud through legislative action, investigative efforts, and constituent advocacy. Our newly created Fraud Division is going to relentlessly pursue the criminals and cheats who steal from American taxpayers, and we look forward to a close partnership with RSC to account for every single dollar.”

"I want to thank Acting Attorney General Blanche for his leadership in carrying out President Trump's War on Fraud and restoring law and order. The newly formed Fraud Division is rooting out waste and recovering taxpayer dollars, while the DOJ's enforcement on immigration and narcotics trafficking is protecting American communities. The RSC will continue working tirelessly alongside this administration to deliver results for the American people," said RSC Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11).
