Big, Beautiful, and Transformational Tax Cuts for Americans
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republicans in Congress delivered a decisive victory to the American people by following through on their promise to prevent the largest tax hike in history by making key provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent. Throughout the budget reconciliation process, Members of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) secured key provisions that advance core conservative priorities and cement President Trump’s America First agenda into law.
Members of the RSC applauded that this piece of transformational legislation will bring tax relief to families, seniors, and businesses in their districts:
Rep. Claudia Tenney (NY-24): “These tax cuts are gonna be so important to small business owners, middle and lower income taxpayers, because it's going to actually give everyone a tax cut. Ninety-five percent of the people in this region—in our region—are gonna get a tax cut and keep the tax cuts they already had, which is gonna be up to at least $5,000 on average back in the pockets of all residents of New York 24.”
Rep. Nathaniel Moran (TX-01): “There are things in there for hardworking families, for farmers, for our businesses. We're talking about reduced taxes on overtime, reduced taxes on tips, reduced taxes for seniors that are living off of Social Security, no taxes on the interest of purchases of new vehicles—things that hardworking families need every single day. We're happy to do that. Why? Because it was the mandate that you gave us when the 2024 election cycle ended. You sent us to Washington, D.C., to give you back the liberty, to give you back more of your money, so you could decide what to do with it. So that your hard work and your decisions would determine your future, not the government here in Washington, D.C. That's what we want: restored liberty, lower taxes, lower regulation.”
Rep. Monica De La Cruz (TX-15): “Hi, I'm Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz. We recently passed the One Big Beautiful Bill that delivered for Americans all across our great country. No tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on seniors' benefits. We win, win, win under President Trump. Promises made, promises kept.”
Rep. Adrian Smith (NE-03): “The One Big Beautiful Bill is great for America, it's great for workers. We know from last time, when we took measures to reduce taxes, we saw wages grow, we saw the economy grow. This time, we're taking these policies that worked last time, making them permanent in many, many cases, adding to that empowerment of families with school choice. And these issues are great for communities all across America.”
