Chairman Pfluger: Iran Has 'Zero Leverage' After Nuclear Strikes, Demands Investigation of Deep State Leakers

June 26, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) joined Varney & Co. on Fox Business to call out Deep State leakers undermining President Trump and our military, and to highlight that Iran's terrorist regime is now at its weakest point ever following successful strikes on their nuclear facilities.

Highlights of the conversation can be found below and the full interview can be found HERE.

Chairman Pfluger On Intel Leaks: "Who is this Deep State leaker solely using classified information to denigrate the President and downplay the success of these strikes? Which by the way were a MASSIVE strategic success."

Chairman Pfluger On Iran's Current Position: "The Iranians under Khamenei and his terrorist regime are the weakest they've ever been. They have zero leverage. The only acceptable answer that the world must demand from them especially now is complete denuclearization."

Chairman Pfluger On Operational Security: "They're right to limit it and think about the success of the operation from an operational security standpoint. Can you imagine them sharing this intel with Rashida Tlaib in advance of the attack? Somebody who leads anti-semitic parades across the country?"

Chairman Pfluger On President Trump's Leadership: "I trust President Trump and his ability to leverage them and get them to that answer. Do not underestimate his ability to do that."
