Chairman Pfluger Joins Mornings with Maria In-Studio: Breaking Down the Latest on the One Big Beautiful Bill

WASHINGTON, DC — Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman August Pfluger joined Mornings with Maria on Fox Business in-studio to discuss the latest on the One Big Beautiful Bill, highlighting the House's comprehensive approach that garnered a historic $1.6 trillion in savings. Pfluger also backed Trump's American energy dominance agenda and use of emergency tariff powers following the latest court decision.

Chairman Pfluger on the Timely Passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill: "Number one, we got it done on time and that gives the predictability to the business community that they know they can plan for next year, they know they can take the biggest tax cuts that President Trump extended and enhanced and many cases made permanent and plan for next year. Two, we are saving $1.6 trillion, the largest amount of savings garnered in 250 years of the country...This is an incredible bill and we need it to be done quickly."

Chairman Pfluger on the Senate's Deliberations on the One Big Beautiful Bill: "We have one bill. We’ve been able to, with a very thin majority in the House, cobble together all the different factions. I'm the Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, we have 189 members...conservatives who want to see the bill come together and really kind of hangs in the balance on that. That train has left the station. I believe it’s going to be One Big Beautiful Bill as the President has advocated for many times."

Chairman Pfluger on the Federal Court's Decision to Block Trump's Tariffs: "Well, we were in an emergency. And [President Trump] was right to get to the point where he calls Mexico out and China out and other countries out on the fentanyl they were sending into the country and other things. It’s a tool and he’s right to use that and we’ll see what the courts end up saying and I think there’s going to be a balance...markets are looking for predictability and we want to know what the future is and we want to invest in the things that are happening but President Trump needed to reorder the economic system around the world."

Chairman Pfluger on Rolling Back the Policies of Joe Biden's Green New Scam: "We need to unleash American energy. We need to have energy dominance and it’s important that we get rid of that regulatory posture that Biden tried to kill the industry with. [Joe Biden] tried to use every tool possible and every agency in every way to do that but America is resilient. President Trump understands that American energy producing it here, unleashing our domestic potential is the foundation for every business in this country including national security issues."
