Chairman Pfluger, Rep. Nunn Call for the Complete Denuclearization of Iran

WASHINGTON D.C. –  Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) and RSC National Security Task Force Chair Rep. Zach Nunn (IA-03) released the following statement calling for the complete denuclearization of Iran following their ongoing attacks on our allies: 

"Iran’s ongoing attacks on our ally Israel, combined with its relentless pursuit of nuclear weapons underscores why President Trump’s maximum pressure policy was not only justified, but essential from the very start. Four years of the Biden administration and eight years of the Obama administration allowed Iran's nuclear program to grow unchecked. Complete denuclearization is the ONLY acceptable path forward—to include the permanent dismantlement of the Fordow uranium enrichment facility. I am calling on my colleagues in Congress to immediately advance comprehensive sanctions that will reinforce the President’s Maximum Pressure policy and sever all financial pathways to nuclear weapons development and terrorist financing.“
