Chairman Pfluger Slams Congressional Democrats for Misleading CBO Estimate of the One Big Beautiful Bill

WASHINGTON D.C. – Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) released the following statement following the Democrats' dishonest CBO estimate of the One Big Beautiful Bill to ensure the process is transparent and thorough:

 “Democrats are deliberately using this cherry-picked CBO score to misinform the American people, manipulating the analysis by feeding selective questions about a hypothetical bill rather than the One Big Beautiful Bill that's on the table. RSC's Reconciliation Working Group has been working with CBO, JCT, and other economic modeling groups throughout the reconciliation process to ensure our analysis is transparent and thorough. Democrats blatant attempt to deceive the public about our legislation shows they'll fabricate anything when they can't win on substance. President Trump's policies work for all Americans, which is precisely why these panicking Democrats have resorted to peddling blatant falsehoods about the CBO's estimates.”
