Daily Wire's Michael Knowles Huddles with House Conservatives Ahead of Trump's State of the Union

February 26, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Study Committee (RSC) hosted Michael Knowles of the Daily Wire for its closed-door members meeting, bringing one of conservative media's biggest voices inside the Capitol as President Trump delivered his historic State of the Union address.

During his remarks, Mr. Knowles encouraged conservatives to lean into restoring law and order and highlight the border security successes of the Republican Trifecta. He emphasized that Republicans should confidently tout the Trump administration’s early wins on immigration enforcement and public safety as key contrasts to the Democrats’ radical policies.

Knowles' visit also underscored the RSC's growing commitment to new media as the future of conservative outreach—meeting Americans where they are and bypassing the legacy media gatekeepers who have controlled the narrative for decades.

Watch the newly released video of RSC Chairman Pfluger and Michael Knowles from the meeting:

Transcript from the video:

Chairman August Pfluger: “I am joined by Michael Knowles, who is an amazing commentator and deliverer of the truth. Thanks for coming to our Member lunch!”

Michael Knowles: “Well, thank you for having me. It was a great honor to be here and a really big program too. You're hearing from the border patrol. You're hearing from a United States Senator who I hear has a podcast, and then me just a lowly commentator and an author of blank books, but the focus of my talk today was on how Republicans can take this moment and try to either stave off the Democrats in the midterms or, even better, push the agenda down the line, because herding together Republicans were all very independently minded. It's kind of like herding cats. However, there are some pathways that you see in the polling, and you see especially after President Trump's popular election in November of 2024…I think Republicans do want to win, and I think it's places like RSC that actually can implement that vision.“

Chairman August Pfluger: “Well, you delivered a great message. RSC is the place to be!”
