The Days of Woke Spending Are Over, President Trump Slashes $9 Billion in Wasteful Spending
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, key members of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) attended President Trump’s signing of the rescissions package to cut $9 billion in woke, wasteful spending uncovered by DOGE.
This bill represents the start of House Republicans' approach to rooting out fraud, waste, and abuse in the federal government. The days of hardworking families being forced to subsidize the left’s anti-American propaganda machine are over.
The RSC launched the Rescissions Working Group with Chair Riley Moore (WV-02) to quickly codify President Trump’s rescissions package. Since 2017, the RSC has supported the use of rescissions to rein in the out-of-control spending spree in Washington.
“It was an honor to join President Trump in the Oval Office for the signing of the Rescissions Act. As leader of the Republican Study Committee's Rescissions Task Force, I will continue to fight to ensure every American tax dollar is wisely spent,” said RSC Rescissions Working Group Chair Riley Moore (WV-02).
