HEAT Leaders Applaud Passage of the Protecting American Energy Production Act
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, RSC House Energy Action Team (HEAT) Chairman Rep. Troy Balderson (OH-12) and RSC Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) released the following statement after the U.S. House voted to pass the Protecting American Energy Production Act:
“From the Permian Basin in Texas to the Utica and Marcellus shales in Ohio, fracking has unleashed our energy potential. By producing oil and natural gas here at home, Americans have benefited tremendously from lower energy costs and reduced emissions” said RSC Chairman August Pfluger and RSC HEAT Chairman Troy Balderson. “The Protecting American Energy Production Act will prevent any future President from unilaterally banning fracking and protect states’ primacy over its regulation. We are pleased to see the bill pass the House today on a bipartisan basis, and we urge our Senate colleagues to send it to the President’s desk.”
