ICYMI: Fox & Friends Spotlights RSC’s Letter to WNBA: “The Debate Over Caitlin Clark's Treatment in the WNBA is Now Reaching Beyond the Court.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This morning, Fox & Friends featured the Republican Study Committee’s (RSC) letter to WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert demanding accountability following repeated acts of physical violence targeting the league's star player, Caitlin Clark. 

The letter was led by Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) and cosigned by Reps. Erin Houchin (IN-09), Marlin Stutzman (IN-03), Victoria Spartz (IN-05), Diana Harshbarger (TN-01), Sheri Biggs (SC-03), Tim Burchett (TN-02), Zach Nunn (IA-03), Mark Alford (MO-04), Pete Sessions (TX-17), and John Rose (TN-06).

The debate over Caitlin Clark's treatment in the WNBA is now reaching beyond the court, with Republican lawmakers sending a letter demanding accountability from the league.  

This comes after an opposing player kneed Clark in the groin and placed a closed fist on Clark's throat.  

Eleven [congressmen] from the Republican Study Committee sent a letter to the WNBA demanding better treatment for players, including Clark. Congressman August Pfluger, who is leading the charge, posted this on X,“I'm putting the league on notice that if it keeps letting the violent targeting slide, they could find themselves facing a DOJ and EEOC crackdown for violating federal civil rights laws.”
