ICYMI: RSC Celebrates 53 Years With Major 119th Congress Wins on Tax Cuts, Fraud, and Border Security
WASHINGTON, D.C. — For more than five decades, the Republican Study Committee (RSC) has driven policy and communications on Capitol Hill to ensure conservative principles are codified into law. The Daily Signal highlighted RSC’s work over the 119th Congress to carry this mission forward, lower costs for Americans, codify the Trump administration’s anti-fraud victories, and expand the conservative movement’s reach.
Throughout the 119th Congress, RSC played a leading role in advancing conservative priorities and delivering on the promises Republicans made to the American people in 2024. RSC helped secure major victories through the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, such as providing historic tax relief for American families, rooting out fraud in Medicaid and SNAP, guaranteeing tax certainty for small business owners, and modernizing border security.
Additionally, RSC Members have led the fight against waste, fraud, and abuse in federal programs, protecting vulnerable Americans who depend on these programs while safeguarding hardworking Americans’ taxpayer dollars. The caucus introduced a framework to codify the Trump administration’s anti-fraud victories into law and RSC members were among the first to sign onto Vice President JD Vance’s Pledge to Protect Americans from Fraud.
RSC is also leading Capitol Hill in the new media space, hosting the first, second, and third-ever New Media Row, which brought in influencers and creators from across the country to chat candidly with nearly 100 House and Senate Republicans. As more Americans turn to independent creators who truthfully cover the issues they care about, RSC is committed to meeting them where they are, reaching millions online without the bias of legacy media.

“The Republican Study Committee, now the largest caucus on Capitol Hill, is celebrating 53 years in Congress this week. The 190 Republican members are currently led by Chairman August Pfluger of Texas and have helped lead some of the monumental efforts of the 119th Congress codifying President Donald Trump’s agenda.”
“The Republican Study Committee says it was the ‘driver of many wins’ in the One Big Beautiful Bill, including establishing work requirements for Medicaid and SNAP and including border security funding.”
“The caucus also says it has been at the forefront of the fight against waste, fraud, and abuse across federal programs as it proposed a framework aimed at codifying the Trump administration’s anti-fraud efforts. Earlier this month, its members were among the first to take Vice President JD Vance’s pledge to protect Americans from fraud.”
“The committee also launched the Rescissions Working Group, a team of members who worked on codifying President Donald Trump’s $9 billion rescissions package, one of the first Department of Government Efficiency initiatives. The package cut more than $1 billion in taxpayer funding appropriated for public broadcasting amid claims of political bias and the argument that the government should not fund media organizations. Nearly $8 billion in foreign aid was cut from international programs, including refugee assistance and humanitarian assistance from the U.S. Agency for International Development.”
