ICYMI: RSC Leads Letter Calling for Complete and Permanent Suspension of Iran's Nuclear Program
WASHINGTON D.C. – In Case You Missed It (ICYMI): Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman August Pfluger led 177 House Republicans to issue a strong statement of support to President Trump, reinforcing Congressional backing for the administration's efforts to eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat once and for all.
As reported exclusively by Fox News:
"Iran must give up its uranium enrichment capacity entirely – even for energy purposes, the lawmakers wrote. Their letter was spearheaded by Sens. Pete Ricketts, R-Neb., and House Republican Study Committee Chairman Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas. It is signed by every GOP senator except libertarian-minded Rand Paul, R-Ky., and 177 Republican House members.
"The scope and breadth of Iran’s nuclear buildout have made it impossible to verify any new deal that allows Iran to continue enriching uranium," the letter read. "The regime must give up any capacity for enrichment."
BACKGROUND:
The Republican Study Committee is the oldest and largest conservative caucus in the House and represents the leading voice for conservative values in Congress. The RSC is home to 189 strong conservative members, fighting every single day for the American people.
