WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) and Rep. Mike Kelly (PA-16) co-authored a new op-ed in Fox News marking the one-year anniversary of the attempted assassination of President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.

In the piece, the lawmakers write that "history pivots on moments measured in millimeters, and July 13, 2024 no exception." President Trump's survival of this horrific assassination attempt demonstrated the resilience that would define his path back to the White House and change the course of American history.

Pfluger and Kelly also introduced a resolution condemning all political violence targeting elected officials. They highlighted the alarming rise in threats against Members of Congress, with Capitol Police investigating 9,474 threats in 2024 alone, calling it "not a partisan problem—it is a national crisis."
