RSC Chairman Pfluger: America Is Winning Abroad and Democrats Are Sabotaging Us at Home
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger joined Mornings with Maria to discuss the historic impact of airpower and the heroism of the brave American service members of Operation Epic Fury. A combat veteran who flew dozens of missions in the Middle East, Chairman Pfluger brought a firsthand perspective to the devastating strike that crushed Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
He also sounded the alarm on Democrat obstruction and their blatant dismissal of fully funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) even as threats to the homeland intensify in the wake of a deadly shooting in Austin, Texas and escalating unrest in the Middle East.

Read highlights from Chairman Pfluger below:
On War Powers Resolution: “Democrats have less consideration on national security issues than grade school kids…This is in response to President Obama being the appeaser in chief for so many years. I'm a combat veteran. Iran and the terror regime has metastasized over the past 40 years. President Trump has the authority to conduct Operation Epic Fury under the Constitution under Article Two.”
On Funding DHS: “We're at a critical point right now. President Biden let in 10 million illegal aliens that pose a threat. We saw that in Austin, Texas this past weekend. That's the kind of threat we need to prevent from terrorizing our communities. Democrats are going to be defined by a choice that they have made to not defend our homeland, to not keep our communities safe, which is really sad when you think about it.”
On Using the Reconciliation Process to Circumvent Democrat Obstruction:"Eventually we're going to have to make the decision as Republicans that maybe we just have to do this ourselves and as part of Reconciliation 2.0, which I've been leading and have the plan for, all about affordability and the things that on your show you talk about every day. But Republicans, we've got answers on this and we may just have to go it alone. But again, very sad that they're defining themselves and letting the radical left take over their mainstream.”
