RSC Chairman Pfluger Calls Health Care Bill "Solid First Step" to Lower Costs After 15 Years of Obamacare

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) released the following statement after House passage of Rep. Miller-Meeks' Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act:

“Obamacare has been an unmitigated disaster for 15 years, crushing families with high premiums and rampant fraud while enriching insurance companies. The Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act restores provisions Democrats stripped from the Working Family Tax Cuts, delivering immediate Cost-Sharing Reductions that slash premiums by 11 percent for working families. Conservatives are serious about advancing policies that can become law and reduce costs. This bill is a solid first step towards doing just that while reversing the damage Democrats inflicted on American families.”
