RSC Chairman Pfluger Releases Statement on House Passage of Clean Continuing Resolution to Prevent Another Democrat Shutdown

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) released the following statement after the House passed a continuing resolution to fund the federal government through December 4 while Congress continues advancing full-year appropriations legislation:

“Once again, House Republicans are stepping up and responsibly funding the government with a clean Continuing Resolution while we work to finalize conservative full-year appropriations bills. The Senate must act swiftly and get this to the President's desk to avoid another costly and disruptive government shutdown. Democrats have proven they are willing to shut down the government and hold American families, troops, and small businesses hostage to appease their radical base. Republicans are doing what we were sent here to do: govern.”
