WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tonight, Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) released a statement following Senate passage of legislation to reopen the government after over 40 days of Democrat obstruction:

“Democrats in Congress have kept the government shut down for over 40 days over their demands for healthcare for illegal aliens and hundreds of billions in covid-era insurance subsidies that are driving up costs, and for what? This political exercise has only harmed American families and has ended in humiliation for the Democrat Party. I look forward to voting to re-open the government as soon as possible to end the Democrats' political hostage-taking of the American people.”
