RSC Chairman Pfluger Talks Transparency, Election Integrity, and Iran on NewsNation’s “Katie Pavlich Tonight”

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) joined Katie Pavlich on NewsNation's “Katie Pavlich Tonight" to discuss the path forward for the Save America Act, the latest developments in Iran, and the House's passage of the Stop Insider Trading Act.

Chairman Pfluger pressed Democrats to explain their opposition to congressional stock trading transparency, pointing out that most Democrats voted against the bill while Republicans unified to deliver it, positioning the vote as proof that GOP leadership follows through on what it promises. He also made the case that the SAVE America Act, which includes election integrity provisions, has now passed the House four times and deserves a vote in the Senate.
 

On Iran, Chairman Pfluger drew on his experience as an F-22 pilot who flew combat missions in the Middle East to argue that a nuclear-armed Iran is not an option and that peace can only be secured through strength.

Chairman Pfluger on Election Integrity and the Save America Act

“When I came up to do this interview just tonight, walking into this building, they wouldn't let me in the building without showing my ID. Yet we don't have election integrity in many of our states, like New York and like California. But walking into buildings, walking into a bank, going into a gym, and even ordering pasta at Olive Garden, you have to have an ID. I think the Senate needs to pass this. We passed it four times now in the House, it's super important. Again, back to the transparency piece. This is the theme of Republican leadership.” 

Chairman Pfluger on Iran and Peace Through Strength Leadership

“I was an F-22 pilot. I flew combat missions in the Middle East. We know what Iran is capable of. We know that they've killed over 1,000 Americans in the past couple of decades. Most of my constituents would rather have a president who operates through extreme strength, peace through strength, not weakness and ineffectiveness, like we saw Joe Biden do.”

“It's sad that we have to do this. I think the question really needs to be asked to Nancy Pelosi: Why did she vote no? Republicans have been transparent, and this is just another example of that transparency.”
