RSC Delivers the Keys: House Passes Landmark Housing Package
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The House of Representatives today passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, sending landmark housing legislation to President Trump's desk for signature.
The bill tears down bureaucratic barriers blocking new home construction, restores accountability for federal housing programs, and enables community banks to invest in their own backyards. By streamlining zoning and permitting, expanding access to manufactured housing, and easing the regulatory burdens that have long prevented community banks from financing mortgages and housing projects in the communities they serve, the legislation opens the door to a stronger, more affordable housing market for American families.
The Republican Study Committee (RSC) has fought for reforms to ensure working families can afford to own a home. Today's passage delivers on that promise by reversing decades of failed policies.
