RSC, Hamadeh Host Election Integrity Roundtable with Scott Presler and Cleta Mitchell as SAVE America Act Heads to House Floor
As the U.S. House of Representatives prepares to bring the SAVE America Act to the floor today, the Republican Study Committee (RSC) convened over two dozen House Republicans for an election integrity roundtable with conservative activist Scott Presler and election integrity expert Cleta Mitchell, who urged members to seize the moment and send the bill to the Senate.
The roundtable, led by Rep. Abe Hamadeh (AZ-08), centered on the SAVE America Act authored by Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21), and the MEGA Act, authored by Rep. Bryan Steil (WI-01). Members in attendance were RSC Vice-Chair Ben Cline (VA-06), Reps. Eric Burlison (MO-07), Celeste Maloy (UT-02), Mike Rulli (OH-06), Mary Miller (IL-15), Beth Van Duyne (TX-24), and John Rose (TN-06).
Presler emphasized his work to restore the sanctity of U.S. elections while calling out Democrat-led states who allow illegal immigrants to vote, or individuals voting several times with one form of identification. Mitchell, who founded the Election Integrity Network and has championed the SAVE Act since its introduction, echoed those concerns and pressed members to act quickly.
Following the conclusion of the roundtable, Rep. Hamadeh released the following statement:
"Election integrity never disenfranchised a single soul, but a single act of election fraud disenfranchises us all. That is why America’s elections must be secure, and all voters should be American citizens," said Rep. Abe Hamadeh (AZ-08). "The SAVE America Act is supported by 80 percent of Americans across racial lines. The American people are clear: they support Voter ID. Let me be clear: election security is national security.”
