RSC Leaders Applaud Historic Gaza Peace Agreement
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) and RSC National Security Task Force Chair Zach Nunn (IA-03) issued the following statements on the historic Gaza peace agreement:
"Hamas' unprovoked and brutal attack killing 1,200 and kidnapping over 250 innocent people was pure evil. Now we must ensure the beginnings of this historic Gaza peace deal are fully upheld and all hostages are safely returned home to their families,” said RSC Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11). “Israel, under Prime Minister Netanyahu, has shown tremendous resilience in dismantling Hamas's terror network. This deal offers a path forward, but only if Hamas honors its commitments. We remain vigilant and eager to see this agreement implemented completely. President Trump and Secretary Rubio's continued leadership is essential to ensuring lasting peace and the safe return of all the innocent people still held captive."
"President Trump’s peace deal is a historic win for Israel’s security, American leadership, and long-term stability in the Middle East. By demanding the release of every hostage and ending Hamas’ grip on Gaza, President Trump has once again shown the world what moral clarity and peace through strength look like,” said RSC National Security Task Force Chair Zach Nunn (IA-03).
