RSC Members Reflect on the Three Years Since the October 7th Attack on Israel

October 7, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Three years ago, Hamas terrorists carried out one of the deadliest terrorist attacks against Israel and the Jewish people in modern history. This regime murdered more than 1,200 innocent people, and kidnapped more than 250 hostages, including soldiers, women, children, elderly people, and foreign nationals.

On October 13, 2025, President Trump brokered a peace agreement that secured the release of the remaining living hostages held by Hamas. His leadership demonstrated what we can accomplish when the United States stands firmly behind its allies and refuses to appease or negotiate with terrorists.

The Republican Study Committee (RSC) stands firmly with Israel. Here’s what Members are saying to mark the third anniversary of the October 7th attack:

“Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists carried out a savage, unprovoked attack on the Israeli people, murdering men, women, and children in their homes and dragging hostages into Gaza as crowds cheered. We must never allow that evil to be forgotten, and antisemitism must be called out and confronted in all forms. Israel has the right to defend itself and its people, and I'm grateful for President Trump's strong leadership in pressing for the successful return of all the hostages and a path to lasting peace. I will never stop working to ensure that our world does not experience another October 7th attack,” said RSC Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11).

“Three years ago, Hamas terrorists carried out the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. We remember the innocent men, women, and children who were murdered on October 7, 2023, and we continue to stand with the people of Israel. As Chairman of the House-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group, I remain committed to strengthening the bond between our two nations and ensuring Israel has the support necessary to defend herself and her people,” said Rep. David Kustoff (TN-08).

“Three years ago, Hamas carried out the deadliest attack in Israel’s history. These terrorists brutally murdered, raped, and dismembered thousands of innocent people. Today, we remember every innocent life stolen on October 7th and continue to fight against terrorism and antisemitism. We will never forget the utter horrors of that day,” said Rep. Craig Goldman (TX-12).

“Three years ago today, the terrorist group Hamas launched one of the most brutal attacks on the people of Israel. They beat, raped, kidnapped, and murdered more than 1,000 innocent people. We remember those who were lost and are grateful for those the United States was able to help rescue and return to their families. I continue to stand with our country’s greatest ally,” said Rep. Max Miller (OH-07).
