RSC Steering Committee Calls for Fully Paid-For Reconciliation 2.0 Proposal to Strengthen Military and Lower Costs

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Study Committee Steering Committee released the following statement on the path forward for a second reconciliation bill:

"The Republican Study Committee was the first to call for a second reconciliation bill, and we believe it remains the only vehicle for delivering on our promises before November—and the only process Democrats cannot obstruct. We support pursuing funding for military readiness and homeland security through this legislative process, while simultaneously codifying the President's agenda to deliver lower costs for working families. Any final product should be fully paid for with commonsense offsets that meet the President's request."
