Scott Presler Registers His Case for the SAVE America Act with RSC Members
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Study Committee (RSC) welcomed election integrity champion Scott Presler to Capitol Hill for a members-only lunch this week.
Presler has spent years traveling across the country and advocating for election integrity measures to be put in place. With 83 percent of Americans supporting proof of citizenship to vote, the mandate from the American people could not be clearer. His message to RSC members was simple: bold, courageous leadership is what this moment demands, and the House delivered by passing the SAVE America Act.
The House passed the SAVE America Act by a vote of 218-213 on Wednesday, a hard-fought victory that requires proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections and empowers states to clean up their voter rolls. Every Democrat who voted no made their position clear: they would rather leave the door open for noncitizens to tip the scales in American elections than protect the votes of their own constituents. The RSC, as the largest caucus in the House, was proud to help deliver that victory. Now it is time for the Senate to finish the job.
“My experience with the Republican Study Committee was 1000/10,” said Scott Presler. “I couldn’t have planned a more productive day if I wanted to, which included attending the RSC’s weekly member lunch. With over 50 Congressmen and Congresswomen in attendance, I had the distinct honor of addressing the needs and desires of the Republican base. With the RSC being the largest caucus of the House, I have no doubt our inclusion helped to deliver a 218 vote victory for the SAVE America Act. Thank you to Chairman August Pfluger for the immense opportunity.”
