Secretary Rollins Briefs RSC on USDA Farmers First Priorities, Trump Administration Efforts to Combat SNAP Fraud
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Study Committee (RSC) welcomed U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Brooke Rollins to Capitol Hill as Congress and the Trump administration work together to strengthen rural America and support American farmers.
Secretary Rollins updated members on USDA’s efforts to lower fertilizer costs, expand market opportunities for producers, protect America's food supply from foreign adversaries, and put American-grown food back on Americans’ tables. Secretary Rollins also detailed USDA’s ongoing work to strengthen oversight of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), including uncovering hundreds of thousands of fraudulent beneficiaries.
The RSC remains committed to advancing the Trump administration’s agenda to root out SNAP fraud, ensure benefits are directed to eligible Americans, and champion America’s farmers, ranchers, and producers.
