TAX DAY REALITY CHECK: RSC Fights to Extend President Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act

WASHINGTON DC - As American taxpayers part with chunks of their hard-earned income this Tax Day, the Republican Study Committee (RSC) is issuing an urgent call to action: Congress MUST extend President Trump's transformative 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). Without decisive congressional action, American families face the largest tax increase in U.S. history – a punishing $4 trillion tax hike that would devastate household budgets and strangle our economic recovery.

The RSC remains resolute in preventing this hit to American prosperity and is mobilizing a comprehensive legislative strategy to permanently codify these essential tax provisions that have been a catalyst for job creation, driven wage growth, and empowered millions of hardworking families to retain more of their rightfully earned income.
