We'll Get Right to the Point: Are You Tired of Winning Yet?

August 5, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. — America’s illegal immigration crisis has been virtually eliminated in just six months under President Trump, with drug trafficking plummeting and economic confidence soaring as the historic budget reconciliation bill delivers massive tax cuts and border security funding.

In a brand new episode of the Right to the Point Podcast, Rep. Mark Harris (NC-08), Rep. Tim Moore (NC-14), and Rep. Brad Knott (NC-13) discussed how the 119th Congress has reversed Biden-era policies and fulfilled key campaign promises, from virtually stopping illegal border crossings to preventing a $5 trillion tax increase that would have devastated small businesses.

The three Tar Heel State Congressmen emphasized that November's election results—giving Republicans unified control of Washington—represented a clear mandate from voters to govern differently and deliver results. They pointed to concrete victories including enhanced border enforcement with 10,000 additional ICE agents, protection of women's sports, and permanent tax cuts that are spurring business investment across North Carolina and the greater U.S.

Highlights of the conversation can be found below and the full interview can be found on Spotify, Apple Podcast, Rumble, and YouTube.

Rep. Tim Moore on Border Security: "You looked at all the millions of people who crossed illegally. Now, virtually nobody's crossing illegally...The reality is, the bill that we've passed on that is to increase funding to provide that. But guess what? The results were already happening because President Trump made the decision to actually follow and enforce the law."

Rep. Brad Knott on Economic Impact and Tax Relief for Families: "Had we not passed this bill, a four and a half to $5 trillion tax increase, yes, it would have affected every entity...This tax bill that we were able to pass, it's not just you get to keep more of your money. It incentivizes business activity here in the United States, rebuilding factories, starting businesses, reinvesting in your own business."

Rep. Mark Harris on Economic Growth and Business Confidence: "Businesses and the corporate community depends on certainty. Markets depend on certainty...by extending those tax cuts and making them permanent, we are bringing certainty to the business community that I think is really going to set the stage for the economy to begin to go up, as the President describes it, just like a rocket ship."

Rep. Brad Knott on Restoring Law and Order: "North Carolinians and Americans, we didn't elect Republicans just because of economics, right? What Biden did with the Department of Justice cannot be overlooked...when you look at how he prosecuted pro-life activists, when you look at how he prosecuted parents on school boards protesting the woke social agendas and even Catholics labeling them as social extremists. That whole tenor has been done away with because of President Trump."
