We're Making IN America Again

April 30, 2025
WASHINGTON D.C. – President Trump's America First policies have delivered another major economic victory as packaging giant Pratt Industries announced a $5 billion commitment to create 5,000 new manufacturing jobs in Arizona, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania today. This investment exemplifies how President Trump's leadership has unleashed American enterprise by slashing job-killing regulations and creating a business climate where manufacturing excellence can once again flourish on American soil.

The Republican Study Committee (RSC) has proudly championed these economic policies that are successfully restoring our nation's industrial might, with RSC members from the states set to welcome thousands of new jobs celebrating the announcement:

Today, I was honored to join my colleagues and President Trump to celebrate the return of American manufacturing,” said Rep. Abe Hamadeh (AZ-08). “These investments will bring thousands of new jobs to Arizona, ushering in a better quality of life and new opportunities for the residents of the 8th Congressional District. This America First agenda, which is restoring American manufacturing, is exactly what my constituents voted for when they elected our Republican majority and President Trump.”

This is yet another example of President Trump’s leadership creating investment and opportunity at home and I applaud Pratt Industry for their decision to build in America”, said Rep. John James (MI-10). “President Trump is an epic negotiator and dealmaker, and he is fueling a revival of American manufacturing and economic prosperity. Michigan has the best workers in the nation but has lost out on countless opportunities because of the hostile business climate created by Lansing. This will not continue under my or President Trump’s watch. I look forward to continuing to work with President Trump to ensure that Michigan is the heart and epicenter of the new American Golden Age.”

“President Trump is delivering results and jobs for the people of Ohio — and he’s just getting started,” added Rep. Jim Jordan (OH-04)

President Trump is restoring America as the manufacturing leader of the world and Ohio’s skilled workforce is eager to play a part,” said Rep. Dave Taylor (OH-02). “Pratt Industries’ $5 billion investment across our Nation will create about 5,000 American jobs, and the great Buckeye State welcomes the opportunities it will provide to our hardworking professionals. Prioritizing American manufacturing means more local jobs, more American-made products, and less dependence on our Nation’s adversaries, and this investment is a great step in the right direction for the USA.

New investments in American workers are exciting news for hardworking Ohio families. I am thrilled to hear that Pratt sees the massive potential in Ohio and its workers as they pledge billions to expand domestic operations. Republicans want to create more jobs that put money into American families’ pockets. I look forward to working with the President and my colleagues in Congress to continue the policies that make it easier to invest in American workers,” Rep. Mike Carey (OH-15) said
