WHAT THEY ARE SAYING: ‘We’re Not Going Back’: House Republicans Draw a Line Against Democrats’ Agenda

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Study Committee (RSC) Members are sounding the alarm on the dangerous policies gaining traction in the modern-day Democrat Party that threaten our Constitution, freedoms, and the American way of life.

Through historic legislation, Republicans are advancing policies that strengthen national security, cut taxes, restore fiscal responsibility, unleash American energy, lower healthcare costs and restore healthcare freedom, and hold fraudsters accountable. The Working Families Tax Cuts Act delivered the largest tax cut in history, the Secure America Actprotected critical homeland security funding from Democrat obstruction, and the Rescission Act of 2025 clawed back billions in wasteful spending. In contrast, every single Democrat voted against these bills to appease the far-Left fringe of their party. 

That progress is at risk as Socialism gains ground in the Democrat Party. 192 House Democrats voted against condemning the Democratic Socialists of America’s (DSA) dangerous ideology on the record. Republicans are drawing a clear line: America is a great nation and can’t afford a return to the failed policies of the past. RSC Members will continue fighting to keep the country moving forward.

“Americans sent House Republicans to Washington with a clear mission: deliver real results for hardworking families. Every single day, we are fighting to secure our borders, back the brave men and women of law enforcement, and protect the hardworking taxpayers who keep this nation running. Meanwhile, out-of-touch Washington Democrats and far-left socialists remain obsessively focused on open borders, defunding our police, and forcing a big-government takeover of healthcare. The choice facing America could not be more clear: it’s common sense Republican policies versus extreme socialist ones,” RSC Messaging Task Force Chair Mark Alford (MO-04).

“From Day One of the 119th Congress, Republicans kept our promises. We delivered the largest tax cut in U.S. history, secured the border, kept men out of women’s sports, cut wasteful spending in the federal government, and returned common sense to Washington. Democrats answered by obstructing at every turn, shutting down the government, and fighting for taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens over American families. Now their socialist wing wants to open up the borders, defund the police, and raise your taxes to pay for it all. Republicans are delivering results, while Democrats keep delivering chaos,” said Rep. Diana Harshbarger (TN-01).

“Americans want safe communities, secure borders, and health care they can afford, and they don’t need a communist agenda to get it. Instead of combating fraud and protecting taxpayers, Democratic Socialists want to give taxpayer dollars to illegal immigrants and exploit health care resources intended for Americans. Nothing they are promising is free, and Americans will be the ones paying for policies putting them at risk,” said Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13).

“The American people have seen a booming economy bolstered by a strong GDP and investments in manufacturing, plummeting drug costs, historically low crime rates, groundbreaking Trump accounts, record-low illegal immigration, and so much more, all delivered by Republicans. The Left is promising the exact opposite. They want a return to the radical ideas that will destroy our middle class and sow division and chaos. I have faith hardworking Americans can see this contrast of solutions versus socialism,” said Rep. Sheri Biggs (SC-03).

“The contrast between America’s two major political parties has never been clearer. Republicans secured the border, delivered historic tax cuts for working families, drove crime to its lowest levels in decades, and kicked men out of women’s sports. Democrats fought us every step of the way. And now they’re campaigning on open borders, abolishing the police, and socialist policies the American people can’t afford. Their agenda isn’t just crazy. It’s dangerous,” said Rep. Rudy Yakym (IN-02).

“House Republicans have delivered the most secure border in modern history, safer streets for families, and lower taxes for hardworking Americans. We took a sledgehammer to wasteful government spending, burdensome regulations, and rampant fraud that was bleeding our country dry. Democrats in Congress want to undo all of our progress and implement their radical policies that led to an unprecedented border crisis, unchecked crime, and 40-year-high inflation. America will not survive another 250 years under Democrats’ reckless policies,” said Rep. Rick Allen (GA-12).

“Republicans have delivered secure borders, lower taxes, and economic growth. But Democrats want to fundamentally alter the course of our great nation. Higher taxes, open borders, radical gender ideology, and a one-way ticket to socialism await us if they take power on November 3,” said Rep. Lance Gooden (TX-05).

“This Congress continues to deliver on priorities that improve the lives of all Americans and limit intrusive government. The Republican majority eliminated taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security, ensuring Americans keep more of what they earn. In the West, protecting our communities and natural resources from wildfires is critical. That’s why we’ve ensured strong wildfire suppression funding and better land management practices.
