RSC Chairman Mark Walker Praises NDAA Passage

Washington - Republican Study Committee Chairman Mark Walker released the following statement after passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2018 (H.R. 2810):

The NDAA ensures our service members are properly equipped and ready to defend our Nation. More importantly, it takes care of our men and women in uniform by authorizing the largest pay raise for our troops in 8 years and increases our force structure which eases the strain on our military. The NDAA also allows our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines to better counter threats emerging from abroad to include the growing danger from a nuclear-armed North Korea, increased Russian aggression in Eastern Europe, and a menacing Chinese Naval presence in the South China Sea. The RSC remains committed to strengthening our military, which remains a canon of our founding principles and one of our most important Constitutional obligations.
