RSC Chairman Walker on Gorsuch Confirmation

April 10, 2017

WASHINGTON – Following the Senate's confirmation of Neil Gorsuch to serve as an associate justice on the U.S. Supreme Court, Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman Mark Walker (R-N.C.) released the following statement:

"As a candidate, Donald Trump promised to nominate a justice in the mold of the great Antonin Scalia. It is clear he kept that promise. Through this long process, Neil Gorsuch has shown humility, grace, and a steadfast commitment to constitutional principles. I am hopeful that these traits will guide Gorsuch's time on the court and that he will be a consistent voice for limited government," said RSC Chairman Mark Walker.

"His confirmation is not a victory for a political party, but a victory for our nation and the rule of law."
