WASHINGTON, D.C. — After holding the government hostage for 43 days, Democrats finally surrendered, walking away with zero policy wins and nothing to show for the economic carnage they caused. Republicans in the House and Senate did not waver from their commitment to reopen the government for the American people and reject the radical wish list of Congressional Democrats.
Throughout the longest shutdown in American history, Republicans in the House and Senate remained unified in the commitment to reopen the government for the American people while rejecting the radical spending demands of Congressional Democrats. Today, that commitment prevailed.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Study Committee (RSC) Member Congressman William Timmons (SC-04) authored a new op-ed in the Washington Reporter
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Since our nation's founding, countless brave Americans have answered the call to serve our country in uniform. Many veterans continue this sacred duty by serving in Congress, working to defend our freedoms and protect the homeland.
Forty-eight members of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) are distinguished military veterans, Reservists, or Guardsmen. They have brought their experiences from years of service and deployments across the world to Capitol Hill.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tonight, Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) released a statement following Senate passage of legislation to reopen the government after over 40 days of Democrat obstruction:
Section 50102 of the OBBA made much-needed changes to the government’s five-year plan for oil and gas drilling leases. The previous plan, approved by the Biden-Harris Administration for 2024 through 2029, was the smallest in history and only allowed one lease sale every two years in the Gulf of America.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — In Case You Missed It: Leaders of the Republican Study Committee, the largest Congressional caucus with 189 Republican members, released a statement today calling for an end to the Democrats’ shutdown through a continuing resolution that funds the government at least into January 2026.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Study Committee’s (RSC) Steering Committee released the following statement:
”Democrats are responsible for the longest government shutdown in U.S. history—paralyzing our country and deepening the healthcare crisis sparked by Obamacare. House conservatives support a return to regular order accomplished only by a continuing resolution that funds the government at least into January 2026. We are also committed to delivering a health care system that is truly accessible, affordable, and spurs innovation. Congress should reject any extension of the wasteful COVID-era subsidies that fuel fraud and drive up costs.”
