WASHINGTON DC - In quite the display of misplaced priorities, House and Senate Democrats have announced plans to travel to El Salvador on a mission to return a deported international gang-affiliated member to American soil. While Maryland communities continue to mourn victims of illegal immigrant crime, including Rachel Morin, Democratic lawmakers appear more concerned with repatriating an illegal criminal alien than securing our nation's borders or supporting American victims of violent crime.

WASHINGTON DC - As American taxpayers part with chunks of their hard-earned income this Tax Day, the Republican Study Committee (RSC) is issuing an urgent call to action: Congress MUST extend President Trump's transformative 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). Without decisive congressional action, American families face the largest tax increase in U.S. history – a punishing $4 trillion tax hike that would devastate household budgets and strangle our economic recovery.

WASHINGTON DC - Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) and Rep. Darrell Issa (CA-48) penned a joint op-ed in Fox News outlining the dangerous overreach by unelected district judges who have consistently blocked President Trump’s executive orders and actions, often at the expense of national security, and how judicial decisions have increasingly undermined the will of the voters.

The piece is timely as the U.S. House of Representatives just voted to pass the No Rouge Rulings Act, authored by Rep. Issa, to reign in federal judges undermining the constitutional separation of powers.
