WASHINGTON – Republican Study Committee Chairman Mike Johnson (R-La.) released the following statement following U.S. Attorney General William Barr's release of the Mueller report:

"Since he received the report, AG Barr has acted quickly to ensure transparency for the American people. Within just 3 days, he gave a principled summary to Congress highlighting the conclusions reached by Special Counsel Mueller. Now, the AG has combed through more than 400 pages and released the report to the public within the bounds of the law, just as he said he would. All of us in Congress are now reviewing the full report along with the rest of the nation.

WASHINGTON – Today, Republican Study Committee Chairman Mike Johnson (R-La.) and more than 150 of his colleagues signed a discharge petition to force a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act in the House. The petition was brought forward by Congressman Steve Scalise (R-La.) and remains active until the end of this Congress. It needs 218 signatures to move forward.

WASHINGTON – Republican Study Committee Chairman Mike Johnson (R-La.) released the following statement after Democrats blocked a measure that would have kept federal employees who have been disciplined for sexual misconduct from receiving a 2.6 percent pay increase:

"Today, House Democrats voted to reward individuals who have engaged in sexual misconduct with a pay raise. Thanks to their votes, those who have been disciplined for these behaviors will be given the same, across-the-board pay increase that their victims receive. By any objective measure, this is just wrong.
