WASHINGTON, DC — Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman-elect August Pfluger (TX-11) today announced key senior staff appointments for the 119th Congress, naming Lyssa Bell as Executive Director and Abby McHan as Deputy Executive Director and Policy Director.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, RSC House Energy Action Team (HEAT) Chairman Rep. Troy Balderson (OH-12) and RSC Chairman August Pfluger (TX-11) released the following statement on the Biden Administration’s executive action to ban offshore drilling in hundreds of miles of federal waters:

“In its waning days, the Biden administration is taking sweeping action to restrict American energy production by unilaterally banning offshore drilling across a wide swath of federal waters. President Trump has pledged to reverse the disastrous Biden-Harris agenda and restore American energy dominance, which will lower costs for consumers and bolster global energy security. We stand ready to aid in this effort and will not rest until the job is done.”

Republican Study Committee Chairman Kevin Hern (OK-01), RSC’s Budget and Spending Task Force Chairman Ben Cline (VA-06), and Members of the Budget and Spending Task Force unveiled the RSC’s Fiscal Year 2025 Budget proposal today, titled “Fiscal Sanity to Save America”.

The RSC Budget is a thorough plan to address our federal spending problem and start paying down our debts. The FY-25 budget balances in just seven years, cuts spending by $17.1 trillion over ten years, and reduces taxes on Americans by $4.2 trillion over ten years.
