Lisa McClain, RSC Chairman Jim Banks, RSC National Security and Foreign Affairs Task Force Chairman Joe Wilson, and House Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Mike Rogers, introduced legislation that would require sanctions on all past and future members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s National Congress and their immediate family members. The sanctions would last until the CCP ends its theft of American intellectual property, ends its genocide of Uyghur Muslims, ends its incursions into Taiwan and stops its human rights abuses in Hong Kong.

Yvette Herrell introduced legislation to require the Food and Drug Administration to produce a report and recommendations on regulatory barriers to domestic manufacturing of medical products that are critical to public health during public health emergencies.
In the earliest days of the pandemic, China threatened to halt lifesaving supplies of medicine to the United States. This highlighted a glaring need to reshore our supply chains and make sure Americans would have access to lifesaving medicine and medical supplies during public health crises.
The Protecting American Lives Act (PAL) Act of 2022 would help begin that effort of reshoring our medical supply chains.

WASHINGTON— Democrats on the House Rules Committee blocked six amendments developed by the Republican Study Committee (RSC) and supported by RSC members to counter anti-Muslim bigotry and violence perpetuated by China, Iran, and the Taliban.

WASHINGTON, DC—Today, the Republican Study Committee released the Countering Communist China Act, the most serious and comprehensive effort to combat the China threat introduced this Congress.
WASHINGTON—The Republican Study Committee is pressuring governors to fulfill the request made by Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and send extra law-enforcement resources to the southern border.
On June 10, the Texas and Arizona governors issued a joint letter to the other 48 governors urging them to use the authority given to them under the Emergency Management Assistance Compact and share resources to assist during the ongoing border crisis.
Members of the RSC, the largest conservative caucus on Capitol Hill, are answering the call for help by urging their home state governors to fulfill the governors' request.
